Mirabegron, is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist, which stimulates the beta-3 adrenergic receptor and relaxes the detrusor smooth muscle, thereby increasing bladder capacity and is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB), such as urge incontinence, urgency, and frequency.
Its benefits are similar to antimuscarinic medication such as solifenacin or tolterodine.
